I was satisfy with my shipment. I have not tried any of the food yet, hopefully it it taste as good as it looks on the package.

Great convenience for one over night.

I bought this by mistake a couple years ago, but have now added to my backpacking food arsenal. Like MRE’s you don’t have to haul in a stove. For an overnight this is pretty sweet. I can leave the canister and stove at home. I found the quality of food very appealing and tasty. There is more garbage so make sure you practice Leave No Trace. This has it’s place.

First Purchase

I have been impressed with the Omeals. We love them for our family hikes.

8oz portions are tasty, although skimpy on protein & calories,

I like to put the heater flat across the bottom/base of the foil pouch.
I like to sprinkle a little salt on the heater B4 adding water. Makes the heater put out more heat.
I then push all the food to the bottom of the food pouch which expands the bottom & place it on top of the now flat heater.
Now I add water & seal the outside foil pouch
Heat rises & with the heater under the food pouch it continues to heat my meal even after I've opened the food pouch.
